I graduated from high school many moons ago, started college classes, and promptly dropped out. However, after my son was born and I went back to work I realized that I did not want to work in retail for the rest of my life. I should have thought of that sooner, and I probably did, but school was too much work.
Now, school, work, the baby, my husband, and the housework take up most of my time. The days are very long and the pay is terrible, but I am having the time of my life. I forgot how good it feels to learn new things and to have discussions about anything other than work.
The only downside is I don't have time for my hobbies. I love to read and crochet. My husband and I used to be big gamers and movie buffs but there is very little time or money for such things now. Though, when the baby is asleep and homework is done I do watch my fair share of Netflix. I go through season after season of my favorite shows and then I watch them over again.
I am at Glendale Community College taking the prerequisites for Grand Canyon University's nursing program. If my calculations are correct I should be able to graduate in two and a half years. I am so very excited to begin that new chapter of my life as a professional with a health and retirement plan.
That is me; complicated and simple.
